Study the role of innate immune response related to Neutrophils and Macrophages/Microglia in different neurological disease such as MS, Ischemic Stroke, Glioma, Alzheimer disease.

Notable contributions to science:

  • Molecular imaging agents (MRI, PET, fluorescent) targeting myeloperoxidase, a highly oxidative enzyme overexpressed in inflammatory conditions
  • Preclinical evaluations to understand the effects of modulating myeloperoxidase activity to improve stroke, glioma, and multiple sclerosis
